Anyway.
Today is a Friday, which means I'm in the middle of family night. (So technically no longer Friday but oh well, it's the thought that counts.) Let's run through my day basically start to finish.
It started with me waking up from a dream. The dream was essentially a mixture of Digimon meets Avatar meets an MMORPG, emphasis on the RPG in that there was a lot of stat building involved and yet also a typical "kids on a quest out to save the world" deal. It was a wonderful dream, but I did need to get up.
I can probably blame the influence of the dream on watching Doctor Horrible and then the first season of The Guild with my significant other yesterday. It was really really good time together, though I feel like this is one subject I had more to say on yet can't quite remember later on. Ah well. It probably had to do with how much I love them. <3
I of course had work today. It was okay, and it was during this time that I did work on that villain song setting. But more on that later. What was interesting was what happened on my break: I bought lunch at the Subway across the street. Now, I had intended to buy a six-inch, both for the cost and for the time since I only had half an hour to eat the whole thing (less given walking time and whatnot).
...I instinctively ordered a footlong. Whoops. Ah well. I can confirm though that the four sauces when having the extras seem to be slightly less messy. Slightly. Oh, and I actually managed to nail my drink! Like. I got it tasting blissfully perfect. Which is a shame, since I had to...y'know. Work. And forgot my drink at work. Twice. (It's probably still there. And might still be there tomorrow.)
Ah well. I tasted it and it was good. Then came me driving home, and basically straight back to help with a tae kwon do test. It was two testing for a green stripe and one for a gold belt, so it was a little bit of a more thorough intense thing than normal. (Two additional candidates couldn't make it but would have made it even longer.)
Going from there to home was going straight into family night, where I currently remain. But since talk often bores me, here I am, and while I'm saddened my words aren't quite as in-depth as I wanted them to be, I still was smart enough to record every subject so I can at least touch on them.
On the subject of health, I wanted it known: I am probably not sick. I was fine this morning. I was fine throughout the day. Better than fine, actually. I felt healthy, even energetic. No signs, no symptoms, of being sick. Just me being me. Even now most of that's the same, however...there's the same slight sore feeling I had last night resurfacing, so I can't say for sure (as I would have said earlier).
Let's see...my date, what we watched, work, tae kwon do, family night, love, sleep, health, my meal, the idea...I mean I've covered most of these even if I don't quite remember how I was originally going to cover them. (I knew it was a risk but this was a blog post I didn't particularly want my mom peaking at. Also, I was working within a limited time/space frame, so. Space mattered; I tried recording ideas so that I could save processing power, save space, so that the stories would remain preserved even later. I was only somewhat-successful in that regard.)
For the idea, I need to add an additional verse containing lyrics about how the heroes win (I kinda sorta have one but the song's too short and I want the extra one), but I wrote the opening song, which would come prior to Villain Song. I came up with this, though it's admittedly not quite set in stone.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
The time of celebration is here
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Evil's beaten there's nothing left to fear
We won the battle long ago
Now there's safety in the kingdom
Here we prosper day to day
Glad evil never got its way
In our land they struggle
You can't get by if evil
Rejoice! Rejoice!
The time of celebration is near
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Our knights keep us in the clear
Crime rates are at a low
Thanks to the triumph of love
We have fortune we have fame,
We tax the bad we make 'em pay
We have a great paradise
A land of good for girls and guys
Rejoice! Rejoice!
The time of celebration is near
Rejoice! Rejoice!
By unified good the world is steered
Peaceful as a dove,
Our land is awesome
Rejoice!
...Yes. There are "rhymes" in there which are a stretch and which have broken flow.
Trust in the me.
Feature not a bug; I know what I'm doing in the writing there. I'm deliberately trying to set the scene and build up the type of world they live in.
Oh.
Almost forgot.
Tonight for family night we watched Wing Commander. It was okay but not great.
Tomorrow we'd have anime night since my mom and dad would be gone, buuuuuuut...I have a staff meeting. The potluck was postponed a month (I now know why we had it but prolly shouldn't share to be safe), but the meeting, not so much. Soyeah, Saturday will be busy.
And I'm getting really sleepy.
Family night's still ongoing technically but I don't know how long it'll remain. It really shouldn't go on further anyway given the time.
