But for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was.
Eventually, though, as I was about to give up and eat some potato skins (which felt like, "on the right track, but still not what I really need"), it hit me that we have breakfast bowls.
In this case, Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls, of Bacon: Eggs, Bacon, Cheese, and hashbrowns.
As soon as I made the realization, it clicked as being right.
And sure enough, it smelled delicious.
And tasted delicious.
And when I was done, I just got a pleasant sensation all over, because it hit the spot--that was exactly what my body was asking for.
My working theory is that my body is very good at telling me what nutrients I need. Specific nutrients are found in specific foods, and when I have a craving for a particular type of food, that means I need that nutrient. In this case, I suspect that I was low on protein and/or fats, which meant that having the carb-loaded spaghetti would indeed have been about as far away from what I needed as could be.
