...They also note on their website that these clubs basically can (and do) go inactive all the time, where they are not active and therefore not meeting/doing stuff, existing in theory but not existing in reality but because they can be reactivated they are still listed, and are not in fact disbanded (which some clubs can be, which presumably removes them from the total list).
Basically. There's a significant chance the club doesn't actually exist right now. In spite of it being the whole reason I went back to college in the first place. The best information I can get is literally over a year out of date, and is even contradictory. Wednesdays by one source. Thursdays by another source. One building by one source. An entirely different building by a different source.
There's literally no consistent, accurate information. I checked out one location at one listed time, but while there were in fact people in there...it was three or four people. (The minimum for forming a club, I researched, is nine...so I somewhat doubt they were it. Of course, this being a sensitive topic and me being me, I didn't exactly go asking them if they were the triangle club I was looking for. I was pacing outside the room for fifteen minutes. And I considered entering with an evasive question which was more indirect. Yet even there I kinda...just. Couldn't muster up the courage to ask since it seemed so pointless.)
Basically. There's only like two or three clubs I can 100% confirm exist. The club I'm aiming for definitely did exist. Last year. I have no clue if it still does. If it does. I have no clue where or when it meets. And there's contradictory information on how to get into contact with the club, too. It's just.
...A whole bunch of disappointing things rolled up into one.
Not a total loss, though--it did get me interested in other clubs. I might be able to attend a Writing Club, if that thing still exists. Similarly so for an Art Club, if it exists. And if they do, if they're at the locations I can last find. There was also a Swing Dance club, though that's not something I found details on other than maybe contacting an adviser for the club.
So. There's things I might be able to do.
If they actually exist.
And if they do exist, if their information (which is over a year old at minimum) is actually still valid.
It's just a whole bunch of sigh-worthy things layered on top of facepalms.
