Still, I'm dressed appropriately. My white shirt might not be my "sharpest" attire, but it still is relatively speaking, an objectively good outfit. I kinda like the look to be honest--I realize that it's technically male attire, but I feel no less feminine in it. Quite the contrary, actually. In spite of it being male attire, I actually feel more feminine when wearing it. Don't have any clue why, but the association is there. Instead of thinking, "dreaded male attire", it feels like I'm just a leading lady I suppose you could say?
Butyeah. Dance is tonight. That means today's the second day in a row I've bought food from Subway. I can devour a footlong meal in a single sitting and still not be full. The thing is, this gets a bit...expensive. My meal is almost $15. Not exactly cheap.
The full meal I get is a Turkey Breast/Black Forest Ham on Wheat Bread, Cheddar Cheese, toasted, 2 scoops of guacamole (which is extra), lettuce, spinach, onions, and green peppers. (I've also added Parmesan to the sub, since it's extra calories which don't negatively impact the taste.) I would add more, but I'm too much a chicken to try most of the sauces and whatnot, and the remaining veggies I HAVE tried, and found to be bad in taste.
For the life of me, no matter how many different ways I try, I can't eat tomatoes. I can eat processed tomatoes, e.g. tomato sauce. But actual tomatoes, I cannot. I tried the yellow peppers, and while they're not spicy, they have an icky flavor to them comparable to tomatoes. Cucumbers aren't much better in that department. So I get as many veggies as taste good to me.
My choice in snack is a bag of Lays potato chips, and my drink is a graveyard mix of whatever they have in the machines, but has a formula to it: filling just the bottom with ice, then about 40% lemonade. Add a dash or two of whatever fruit drink they have, then two dashes of coke (or cherry coke in this case), one dash of sprite, one or two dashes of Dr. Pepper, about 20% of whatever tea they have, and then topping the remainder with more lemonade.
I don't often nail the formula, but BOY when I do does it taste delicious. And even when I add too much of one thing/not enough of another, it's never terrible--maybe a bit bland or even watery, with one flavor a bit overpowering, but never bad, simply "not perfect". I like this combo because it gives the illusion of me actually having decent choices in drinks, since some drinks are better than others.
Of course, my drink quirks don't end there. Most people when they put a lid on their drink puncture the lid with their straw going down. As in, they seal the lid, and then they puncture the lid with their straw. In my experience, that's just asking to have your drink spill on you. Instead, I put my straw in and puncture UPWARDS. That makes the lid form an extra barrier which helps keep liquid out, rather than literally sucking the liquid upwards encouraging it to leak out.
...Oh, and speaking of lids: most people put just one on. I use two. Now, this makes the aforementioned straw piercing a bit difficult, as puncturing through two lids is harder than one. Additionally, getting a tight seal with two lids is harder than a tight seal with just the one. However, if done right, the reward is worth it, as it is nearly impossible for liquid to escape the result. The lid is less likely to fly off, the liquid is less likely to come over the lid, and if the liquid does leak through it'll often just leak through one rather than both.
Soyeah. That's my order, one which still leaves me hungry. Today I cut out the guacamole and had it be a six inch, because I can't afford the cost of $30 a week for food. School alone has drained my resources enough. Which makes a nice segue because speaking of school...
...Yeah I'm freezing up right now. Deer in headlights is an apt description. Why do you think I'm typing up this blog right now rather than working? It's because I'm stuck at a standstill, staring blankly and wondering...what the heck am I supposed to do?
There are four assignments that I can do (one of which is due today) that my instructor never mentioned verbally. He just posted one of them, and yet I have absolutely no clue what it is he's exactly asking me to do. There's an additional two also assigned for the near-future. Those two I can do, but they're the ones I don't really need to do.
I've got a whole lot of work I'm supposed to be doing.
And the work I'm actually supposed to do, I'm not sure what exactly it is he's really asking me to do.
Thus the need for me to vent here.
WELP.
I'll give the ramble I promised later. Hopefully tonight, we'll have to see.
