I mean, the event started at 10 or so, but I thought it would be a very bad idea to go to it without any sleep at all, especially given I'd be in an unfamiliar area (I do know Lynnwood a little bit, but not that well), in an unfamiliar car, at an unfamiliar time.
So I did have to sacrifice time there (I only got in about an hour: from one until two), while also having sacrificed sleep (my normal amount is six hours--more than that feels excessive except when I'm sick), but I think I struck a good balance between the two, and let me tell you:
It was absolutely worth it. Every second.
This one was even better than the one on Sunday. Wasn't there as long, but I had my laptop this time, so while I didn't do quite as much as I did on Sunday, it's a comparable gain.
Now I understand why people go to these things so often! They're pretty great.
Though if you'll excuse me...pretty sure I need some sleep before tonight. If I round dance off of three hours of sleep, I'll be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeead by the end of the night. Not to mention, make a lot of mistakes.
