In spite of me having literally done the test, I didn't really remember a fair amount of it, though it's possible my test's unusual formatting and lack of size compared to this test's differently-unusual formatting which was closer to standard but with its own quirks combined with multiple participants contributed to that.
Still, it was a nice refresher on what the testing experience should more or less be, and I had fun even though I was watching for 90% of the test. I did get to assist at one or two points but by and large I was not doing much. I did get to speak to the daughter of my instructor (who is a black belt in all but official capacity in that she has literally everything she needs to be one she just needs to actually take the test), and it was a good talk.
She's actually a professional in the field of medicine. I forget exactly what she does for a living, but it is something she went to school for years in order to get a degree for. (It might be some physical thing?) What I'm saying is, I might not remember what she does exactly for a living but what I do know is that she is really, really, really, really knowledgeable about the human body especially in the field of athletics.
I described my problem and said that I was going to get an appointment with a foot doctor at the first available opportunity. (I will as soon as my parents get home, though...that might not be until tomorrow? Which would suck since that might interrupt the date I have scheduled at an inconvenient time but hopefully not we'll have to see.) She did agree that it was probably a problem to be treated by a foot doctor, and even recommended a place in I believe she said Northgate Seattle where I could go if my insurance would cover it.
After the test was done, I went to Subway for lunch. It's been too long since I've ordered a sub, so I basically had them dump almost every sauce on there they had. Not quite all, but a lot. The result? Not bad, actually. In fact, it wasn't even messy; it didn't drip! Much to my surprise. I did feel that the flavor had lost some of its sweetness, in that I was mostly tasting the spice rather than the sugar, and as a result I did have the spicy-mouth-issue where no amount of my drink was enough, but OH WELL.
It didn't taste bad is what I'm saying. It still tasted good. It didn't taste good in the way I remembered/expected it to, but it still was a decent meal that I enjoyed and I think it hit the spot in giving me exactly what I needed. My drink was a little bit bleh, perhaps because I forgot the ice, but also because I didn't have any tea (I was afraid to touch the thingy they had there since I didn't know what it was exactly and how it'd work) or lemonade in my drink--I deliberately wanted some caffeine, because I made no coffee today and was falling asleep by the end.
It was a good day overall, I'd say.
Tomorrow though is work.
And I need to bring a whole lot of stuff home.
So we'll see how things go.
