The bad: what she failed to do is to check our supply of Parmesan cheese before-hand. We were basically out.
This forced a little improvisation on my part. Liberal dosage of butter, one strip of generic cheese (probably either American or Cheddar), and then about 3/4ths of a string cheese stick. Later adding a healthy dosage of salt. I reheated it in the microwave to melt most of the cheese and I did thoroughly stir multiple times both before and after.
Bad news: it didn't taste anything at all like spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.
Good news: it did however have an interesting taste. Not bad, not better, just...different. Neither better nor worse. Something unusual, but passable.
Still woulda preferred our Parmesan cheese though.
Spaghetti + sauce + cheese = delicious, filling combo.
Ah well. It was an experience at least.
