But that's not the addiction.
The addiction is that I am trying to pull off troll builds revolving around the Needlessly Large Rod item.
I apologize to my blog readers who don't play TFT, I realize that this is a blog centric to that game and thus if you don't play it you're not going to be able to relate to this. But basically.
There's a small handful of builds which I want to try.
Rod-Nidalee,
Rod-Darius,
Super Rod-Vayne,
Rod-Blitz,
And Super-Rod Lulu.
So far.
Said list is expanding as I think of new ones.
Basically.
The idea for a Rod run is to get three completed items which use the rod on the unit. At the most extreme, six. And to get the unit to T3.
For Nidalee, I want six rods to make three deathcaps to test how much her healing skill can get buffed up. I might have to settle for rageblade gunblade deathcap to be more pragmatic.
Rod-Darius, I want rods to test his healing spin's upper limits. In fact, as I'm typing this blog up, I'm attempting a run at this. Not triple-deathcap, I'm settling for the more pragmatic rageblade gunblade deathcap.
Super Rod Vayne is to take the concept of Rods and add in the Sorcerer 6 bonus.
See, any ability boosted by Needlessly Large Rods, is also boosted by the Sorcerer bonus.
I know that Vayne's passive has, when you stack three deathcaps on a T3 Vayne, 64% of the target's max health in damage.
But that?
That's without sorcerers.
In THEORY.
Sorcerer 6 should increase that stat even further.
And my theory, which I want to test, is that I can get a 3x instakill on units. (Mind you this is a terrible build for Vayne because she wants to have rageblade and a source of healing so she attacks faster.)
Rod Blitz I almost pulled off, but couldn't get the deathcap because I needed to get a spatula Blitz from the carousel to steal it and also ensure my survival.
Super-Rod Lulu, far more viable than Super-Rod Vayne, is the same idea as Vayne. Buff up her Hugeify/Embiggening ability to the maximum. Since she's already a sorcerer, this works well. She can give, at T2 with the build only half finished (Sorc 3 and one deathcap), over a thousand health. So a T3 Lulu I'm estimating would be like 3,000 HP (most units have HP in the hundreds mind you--lower hundreds), which might legit be viable, if I can pull it off.
Each is ridiculously hard to try, but I want to do them all for science.
