I also did a bunch of League and TFT today. New week, new quests. New patch technically, but nothing really impacted me there. I need to grind out the physical/true damage one as well as play 11 more games in the next week. Should be doable.
In League, I played an intermediate bot game just as a warmup for fun, and built the support item yet went into my full adc build otherwise--muramana (and I actually got it transformed!), iceborn gauntlet, frozen heart, had enough gold for an abyssal mask, but we ended it there.
Felt good, but it's a botgame-specific build--something which only works if you're farming kills and towers. (Because those are the two things which proc the gold from the support item, natch.)
I then went on to play a couple of actual real games. The first, I was assigned adc...but my "support" didn't take a support item (and built incompetently for that matter), our toplaner dc'd, and our jungler later joined the toplaner in dc'ing, leaving us in a 3v5 that due to my "support" was essentially a 2v5. (I ended up buying a spectral sickle because I thought, "hey, my support's not building the support, I may as well try and switch the items", told them as much, pinged it, encouraged them to farm...and then they didn't.)
Understandably, we lost that game.
Hilariously enough, in my next game...I ended up facing that very same "support" player, in the same role, with the same ineffectual build. Was also the adc that game, but since I had an actual support and the enemy team really didn't...well, we ended up winning that game, suffice to say.
I did end up with a few deaths, mostly from my fault though in going for kills in like 2v3 situations to give too much disrespect to the enemy 'support'. They were incompetent, sure, yeah, but when playing a champion designed to scale, even with atrocious items and not doing their role, they didn't deal absolutely zero damage and their ult could and did help to save their teammates, and my lack of concern about these did net me some deaths that were easily avoidable if I had treated the enemy support as a champion.
My bad, but oh well, we still won anyway and quite handedly.
Anyway, was fun, but I've got a kitty to feed and then bed to go to.
