Other stuff of note, my bracelet isn't actually broken. It was in a sleep-induced haze that I thought it was, but it's fine. Still need to put it back on, though. So about that Whirlwind story, there's also that. I developed the lancer character. He eventually gets an upgrade to his techniques, where he basically combines his attack ki with his trick ki to cause illusions that deal damage, even to those with perfect perception ki that know it isn't real.
The first, and weakest, of these techniques, he channels through his sword: the Phoenix Wing, so named because the slash of his sword produces a trail of flames following it shaped like the feathers of one. The second technique, the Dragon's Breath, is his left fist, accelerating towards the target. He stops just short of hitting them, and compressed flames jet forward, delivering a powerful blast.
The third technique doesn't look all too different: the Dragon's Fang is simply him with a half-open palm/fist hybrid, slashing at his opponent. The result of this slash, however, are flames that actually singe. In spite of being mostly a trick-ki attack, this elemental-based damage can leave a real mark. (The other two techniques are more attack-ki based, and attack-ki isn't elemental, thus, leaves no discernible trace.)
If that's not enough, he switches to a two-handed sword-fighting stance, where he uses both hands: the Heaven/White Tiger claw, where his sword is enveloped by a white flame. His ultimate technique, though, is when he sheathes his sword, using both his hands: the Devil's Blue Flame, something that burns so intensely that it can defeat water/ice, overcoming elemental rock/paper/scissors weaknesses.
I'm pretty sure that's the only upgrade he gets in the story, but I'm also pretty sure that's the only one he even needs.
But anyway!
New month.
New stuff ahead.
Webcomic work will increase, and also, I can now be much more open about my work on Gistou which will happen.
It won't start immediately, though. I might have my brother coming over tonight for a family version of anime-night. No anime on tonight thanks to Labor Day, and work tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing a lot more stuff now that my largest obligation is mostly out of the way.
