...Yet today, she did something unusual: when I started to pet her (I meant it as a deterrent from eating plastic), she began to rub things, and rub them a lot. She began to pur, pace back and forth, rub other random objects...
...In other words, she was asking for attention very heavily, in much the same way the younger black cat (who I've blogged about before as being a sort-of brother to our living dog) usually does. (He does a lot more walking, though.)
In other news, I've got a couple of new drawings to add to the list.
See, I was thinking. (Yep, you can see where this is going. Never a good sign when I begin to think.) And a thought occurred to me to use the black hairties I've got on my left arm in addition to the wristband glowstick for the magical girl.
Simultaneously, I was thinking about how my pinkies both have fingernails that are freakishly long--vampiric, even. So I thought I might as well put the two together (especially given they tie to themes in my real-life: that there's a lot of fantastical things about me, but that I am also largely a leech), especially after it clicked that the outfit I had in mind for me-as-a-magical-girl was black-and-red anyway.
Why mix magical girls and vampires?
...The better question is...why NOT?
So I'm going to have an extra drawing to do, of me going into vampiric magical girl mode.
I even have the catch-phrase:
"Holy powers forgive me for my sins:", and then calling out one of the two (because two hairties, natch) Forbidden Arts--
Forbidden Art 1: Dark Aura--this is the one which actually gives the look, where the jacket I'm wearing goes entirely-black, the skirt becomes shorts, pigtails in the hair become a ponytail, and the mask becomes a ballroom mask with pointy spikes. Story-wise, it'd give an increase in power, including heightened senses, but not the full vampiric package.
Forbidden Art 2: Blood Staff--basically the vampiric weapon to replace the bow, it drains opponents, not just of blood but of energy too. It offers vampiric speed, but not vampiric strength nor toughness.
The other drawing would be a transformation withOUT being in magical girl mode first, and that one's called Dark Art: Blood Fang--it creates a black hoodie pulled over the head, with a veil of darkness obscuring the details of the face. It has sweatpants, and five claws on each hand. (Vampires having claws rather than fangs, here.) It offers full vampire abilities, minus most downsides, except being drunk (literally, given y'know, blood) on the darkside, as an 'evil' form taken to go undercover. (A rather effective cover, too, since only vampire lords can transform and vampire lords being among the most influential vampires means that it offers great prestige.)
A bit in the backstory would explain how I became the magical vampire girl, basically being a botched turning where the magical girl powers awakened, and a side-effect was killing a vampire overlord and being bound to his successor to make co-lords of the Darkblood Coven of vampires.
Definitely wanna draw things now.
