And then I was supposed to go to a staff meeting.
It got canceled.
So, I was able to find this problem, fix it, upload the page which should have been there, and then go on to post it elsewhere. I even worked on other potential hosts. ComicDish was thrown out the window because if I have an account there I don't know what I called it and registering is disabled. The Duck I put it up on, but I'm not really optimistic. Tapastic and Webtoon Lines are both nightmares in their own ways and I'm not even sure I put them up properly. And deviantArt I'm now on, but I have zero confidence in me having done so competently.
...And through this all, I almost forgot to put it on here!
No worries, though. The comic's up here, too, now.
To be honest, because of the problems I have with the interfaces, I don't think I'll be using most of them. I have one mirror which I think I'll keep no matter what, because the interface is pretty similar to ComicFury's and has a lot of the features/flexibility of CF in that regards. But the others, well, I'll give them a try for a couple of weeks to see if I can work them, manage them, if anyone is interested in them, but I'm not optimistic about me liking them.
To put things simply, for the first time, I'm beginning to really understand why people immigrate to ComicFury in the first place. I mean, they stay for the community, but the saying does go, "come for the comics", and mostly that's as a host rather than a reader. I've been spoiled by ComicFury being my host for almost as long as I've made comics, so I didn't realize just how unyielding other sites were, with user interfaces that are not user-friendly.
Anyway! I do digress a bit. There's been more close calls than just getting the comic up. The weather which was supposed to give us a power outage didn't, and then there's me blogging for today; I almost forgot. I still need today's Inktober, too. (I was planning at doodling it at the staff meeting, if I could steal some paper, but again, canceled.)
I've got quite a lot that I need to do. Like, a lot a lot. Mafia's not been something I've paid much attention to lately, and that needs to change. I have comments on my comic to respond to. Speaking of my comic, I did get a very helpful offer (which, I'm sorry, I probably will be abusing) to help me on my coding woes in making the main site look more the way I want it to. Job stuff is behind as always. I need to upload my Inktober sketches. I need to do my reading. I'm a week behind on my comic-making, too.
I mean, to be fair, a lot of that was from a combination of depression and business and me planning for a busy weekend yesterday and today. Between those two, I've done far less than ideal, which was inevitable. The storm risk didn't help much, either.
Ultimately, I've been doing far less than I need to be doing, and I need to remedy that, quickly.
It will take me some time to get all of this done.
But I think it's not impossible.
Difficult!
Really, really difficult!
Not impossible.
