Take a look.
In a sense, I did. I replaced them:
Butstill. The point is. I more or less replaced the old pink avatar with this one, because this one is just in a league of its own miles above the rest. Yet I still wanted the original one to be...better. To be...as good as could possibly be. And so. I devised the plan. To redo it.
And I succeeded.
Because.
Uh.
Yeah.
Just.
LOOK at it.
Just.
WOW.
There's no comparing it to the old one.
It's just.
It's just better.
In every feasible way.
I think Ruby conveys everything I wanted to convey before.
She's still beautiful, but a younger beautiful, more youthful, energetic, innocent, and happy. She's warm and compassionate. Not as full as fire as the Black Ruby I did, but more subdued with an aura of casualness. She's young, and she's friendly, and she's everything the original avatar was supposed to be, just.
Done right.
I kinda want to make it into a colored image, to see if my coloring has improved. (Well, rather: my detail work.) I don't think I'll quite be able to capture the magic of the sketch (I have shaky hands and no amount of line correction can fix that, be it tablet or other tool e.g. mouse), but I'll do a good job, maybe doing the above justice.
This is the art I've wanted to make.
Some time I should show the other images I've made, but this'll do for now. (It took some time for me to troubleshoot the scanner and get it to have the settings I want, thanks to a new printer. The new printer we have is actually better than the old. The scanned image size might be slightly different, but not bad different.)
