The key word here, unfortunately, is tried. Because it was during swim lessons, the volume (1) had to be lower than necessary (a rule that everyone save the person who made it go through despises), and (2) the swim lesson kids were...noticeably loud.
So I basically didn't get to hear any of it, sadly. It sounded like they may have played a live version of Meg Meyer's song Sorry, too! (It coulda been the norm, hard to tell, but it didn't sound like it; it sounded acoustic.) I want to do some digging to see if I can find a recording of what was being said. It's easy enough to look up the lineup now that it's been announced, but the ~experience~ of the announcement was lost. (Because the talking is actually a bit of the appeal. Why else have Meg Meyers in the studio if not to talk about how killer the lineup will be?)
Speaking of which, definitely need to get the discover and download song of the week; I only heard it once, during the same conditions (five minutes before the five at five in fact), but even what little I was able to pick up sounded good; I'm sure hearing the undiluted song will only increase my opinion of it MORE.
Butyeah. Another thing that happened there was an intense desire to work on Red Hood Rider. I don't want to spend today doing notetaking, though, even though taking notes and getting it all written out is a VITAL part of making it successful. Nor do I have the time available (and frankly, the willpower) to make a drawing. What I CAN do, though, is scripting, so that's probably what I'm going to spend the remainder of my night doing, aside from some brief visits to Kongregate and my mafia site. Because actually, physically, WORKING on it (even if only in a small way) will help me feel like Ruby is one step closer to being brought alive.
