Something interesting happened today. I was taking a break from work (which I agreed to do today), and then I started clapping...and I took the time to think about the tune I was clapping. And I realized...it might not be THAT/THIS tune, but it might have been the inspiration for THAT/THIS tune. Because the CLAP tune I did I realized I've done instinctively for years upon years upon years.
And it gets better. The CLAP tune, which is similar to THAT/THIS tune, is not the same as THE tune......but they have the exact same tempo and rhythm. In short, theoretically, they could overlay. I don't think they could successfully be overlaid, because I did a mental calculation of it, and it didn't sound like it was meshing, but still...was neat that I made the discovery, of the CLAP tune (likely even predating THE tune!), and how it might have been a huge inspiration on me.
...Okay, that's probably kinda confusing to describe. Trust me, this is one of the few times where it makes just as much sense in my head as it does in yours.
