I also gave him a new technique: a variant on Iaijutsu. By drawing his sword and immediately flicking his left wrist and channeling his ki, he can make a very short-range blast which pushes things far to his left, optionally with cutting power. Alternatively, with a flick of his right wrist as to point his scabbard's opening forward, he can channel his ki as to make a piercing attack with a range of 5 meters.
This technique can only be done on the split second of drawing his sword, and doesn't see much use for two reasons. One, he's not fast on the draw. If anything, he's a little bit slow. Two, this is, as per the norm, a one-shot attack and he has to re-sheathe his sword to use it a second time. And three, it's more of a surprise attack, and not a strong one at that. Not to mention, four, once it's been used, it's incredibly easy to see coming. So, five, it's usually a waste of ki.
All the same, I think I like the move.
