Sorry to let you down.
My blog post yesterday was lackluster, and know what I was doing up until 7 AM last night?
Playing an Irysoft game.
I mean, to be fair.
It's Irysoft.
You know, Cursed Treasure? And now Sacred Treasure? Plus other various games that I've immensely enjoyed save for them universally containing a memory leak problem? (For instance, Band of Heroes is an all-time favorite.) That Irysoft? They're one of my favorite game developers of all time on Kongregate, so naturally I spend a lot of time on their new games.
(I got 100% completion on Cursed Treasure and the level pack, though the final level of Cursed Treasure 2 kept me from getting 100% completion on the sequel. Even the walkthroughs for that game say the last level is luck-based and there's only so much you can do, requiring precise timing at precise moments along with some degree of memorization, forethought, preplanning, and quick reacting, and while the walkthroughs can help with a lot of that, they can't give you a second-by-second 100%-completion-strategy for that level.)
I didn't even get close to finishing, by the way. I love the game, absolutely love it, but there's a fair amount of grinding involved, not to mention, some minor frustrations in how ridiculously easy it is to accidentally die. (You'd think that it'd be difficult to die if you're actively monitoring your health and have HP potions, but no!) From my understanding, there's two areas, though, and if that's the case, I did finish half the game, plus a little bit of the hard. (Just enough to buy the only two weapons which would even remotely be considered close to matching the epic-tier loot.)
So, yeah. So much for my recovery.
